Introduction

Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy (MPCE), sponsored by State Grid Electric Power Research Institute (SGEPRI), is Diamond Open Accessed (all costs currently covered by the Sponsor), peer-reviewed and bimonthly published journal in English. MPCE is co-published by IEEE and all articles are open accessed on Xplore. It is indexed in SCI, Ei, Scopus, INSPEC, DOAJ, EBSCO, ProQuest, SCImago, OCLC, Google Scholar, CSA, CSAD, etc. It has entered into Q1 of Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) journal ranking.

MPCE publishes Original Papers, Reviews, Views, and Special Sections in the field of modern power systems with focus on smart grid technology and renewable energy integration, etc. It serves as a communication platform for power system technologies and engineering for both academics and those working in industry, dedicated to presenting top-level academic achievements in the fields of modern power systems and clean energy by international researchers and engineers. It is endeavoured to serve as a bridge between Chinese and global researchers in the power industry.
